Daniel Valverde first discovered a love of movies in high school, which led him to pursue a BFA degree in filmmaking at the at the State University of New York School at Purchase. After college he went to work in editing.
While working in New York as an assistant editor, he was accepted by American Film Institute as a directing fellow, and moved to Los Angles. Daniel found himself cutting projects for the other directors while at the AFT, and realized he preferred editing to directing.
He returned to his editing career, and gained success cutting on high-profile dramas such as "Picket Fences", "The Practice", "Dawson's Creek" and "Joan of Arcadia" Dan's recent credits include USA's "Royal Pains", the critically acclaimed FX series "The Americans" and ABC's "Quantico", the HULU mini-series "The Looming Tower" and the USA/Blumhouse series "The Purge".
He recently wrapped on the upcoming EPIX/ABC Studios series "The Godfather of Harlem", starring Forest Whitaker, and is jumping onto "Warrior Season 2" starring Olivia Cheng and Dianne Doan.
