Six-time Emmy Award winner Brian W. McRae brings 35 years of production experience to his Executive Producer role on Summer, the Feature Film version of the classic Edith Wharton novel.
Brian’s television credits include The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, Days of Our Lives, NBC Nightly News, Santa Barbara, Another World, Guiding Light and Live with Regis and Kathie-Lee. His commercial credits include Ford, Heinz, Toyota, Whirlpool, and Nestles among many others.
His earlier credits include successful stints as Lighting Director at NBC and Director of Photography for The Entertainment Channel and Telemation Productions-Chicago, as well as Lighting Consultant on various national and foreign productions.
Brian has garnered a reputation for efficient and artful work that has earned him an impressive 16 Emmy nominations, as well as recognition from the respected American Society of Lighting Designers for “Outstanding Artistic Achievement in Lighting Design.”
Through his acclaimed work on daytime dramas, Brian has forged solid professional relationships both behind and before the camera, where his ability to address actors’ needs and concerns helped facilitate many stellar performances. As a result, one of Brian’s television development partners is GL star Beth Chamberlain.
In 2009 Brian established a partnership with Writer-Director Carl Sprague. Together they created the feature film production company YaleHill Pictures.
Brian has been married for 25 years to his wife Tricia, whom he met while working on Santa Barbara. They are blessed with three children (Erin, Brian Kristofor and Austin) and a beagle named Snickers. The McRae’s reside in Larchmont, New York.
