For the last 20 years, Christopher La Vasseur has had a camera in his hands. 

Beginning as a technician at CSC and then joining the Local 600 International Cinematographer’s Guild, he worked as an assistant cameraman on feature films including A Bronx Tale, Malcolm X, Single White Female, and The Last Action Hero.

After moving up to Camera Operator, Chris operated for the TV series  Law  & Order and 30 Rock plus shot numerous short films, music videos and industrials.

Currently, Chris can be found shooting feature films. His recent cinematographer credits include: 2B Perfectly Honest starring John Turturro, Kiss Me Again starring Jeremy London and Descent starring Rosario Dawson, all of which opened at the Tribeca Film Festival. He also recently shot Harold, starring Cuba Gooding, Jr., and wrapped up the documentary Pennhurst with SteelEye Films.

His latest film, Rosencrantz and Gildenstern are Undead, starring Jake Hoffman and Devon Aoki, was one of the first features to be shot with the Red One digital camera.
