Laura Siegel

As founder and head of CEC, Laura leverages an unparalleled understanding of the film and television industry. Having built a widely accepted reputation as trustworthy, diligent, and entirely dedicated towards the success of her clients, Laura has been a prominent fixture in the entertainment industry for almost 20 years, and considers herself extremely fortunate for the success she’s experienced in, as she states it “the industry I love”.

Laura’s sales and negotiating ability was clear from the beginning while working for the entertainment lighting division of Bulbtronics, where she secured some of the most coveted accounts in the industry.  Laura’s ability to maintain and cultivate major client relationships did not go unnoticed, and quickly made her a recognized name in the entertainment business.

Directly prior to founding CEC, Laura was responsible for sales and marketing at Panavision NY, where she was instrumental in raising Panavision’s visibility within the industry.  By establishing close and trusted relationships with all levels of production staff – from producers, directors, DP’s, cameramen and other crew members, Laura gained the eyes and ears of the people responsible for production. 

Having both a strong sales and entertainment technology background, Laura founded CEC as the first agency to connect and represent both the talent and production crew with the technology companies that provide the tools and equipment for filming.   This first-of-its-kind concept was immediately successful and led to the founding of CEC Circuit, a unique network of strategic alliances and partnerships worldwide that provides an “all-in-one” solution for production needs on a global scale. CEC is also an associate member of the Association of Independent Commercial Producers, working with other companies in the industry to improve effectiveness and efficiency of commercial production.

Laura currently lives on Long Island with her husband, Jeff, where she serves on the board of the Long Island Film and Television Foundation. Laura continues to share her knowledge and talent as a member of New York Women in Film and Television, where her experience and determination is further appreciated.
